Our Story

SASS was established in 2017 to provide a quality service in the NDIS space where there were obvious service gaps.

We pride ourselves on offering a point of difference within the disability service sector to ensure we can make a positive difference to the lives of our participants.

Our aim is to change the lives of everyday people and what better way to do this than provide support at the coalface…. Where it is needed the most. We are PASSIONATE about the people we support.

2018 was a year of expansion in Melbourne Metro. We defined processes, recruited a team of professionals who are passionate about what they do and got to build a reputation of excellence in the NDIS space.

2019 was a move to the Regional areas of Victoria and expansion with the amount of Support Coordination companies that we have partnered with.

We are passionate (yep there is that word again) that providing a quality service improves a participants NDIS journey and in turn enhances the local community that they live in.

2020 was a huge year of growth and steady expansion throughout Victoria regardless of the pandemic.

We have also expanded the staff pool to incorporate Care Coordinators and Team Leaders as well as an internal Quality Manager and new Finance and H/R divisions.

2021 included more tremendous growth and changes within the company. This included expansion of our services to include a disability activity farm (Ironstone Hill) which has proven to be very popular as well as the shift to our new company headquarters at 7 Rowan Street, Bendigo. Late in 2021, we opened an NDIS respite motel called the Fleece Inn located in Bendigo. The Fleece Inn has been very successful and has been nominated for an Australian Disability Award for Most Outstanding Accommodation Provider.

2022 has been very busy! Building on the success of our disability services across Victoria, SASS has opened a 27-bed accommodation facility in Bendigo.

Murphy House located at 5-7 Murphy Street, Bendigo provides short and medium term respite for participants requiring 24/7 care utilising funding from their NDIS plans. We are also hoping to provide longer-term Supported Residential Service options in the future for participants who need a safe and secure place without intensive supports.

Since the beginning, SASS has received many requests to provide Support Coordination services for NDIS Participants. Listening to our customers, we are excited to now be providing Support Coordination.

Who knows where the future will take us…… but we know that we will embrace the NDIS changes and continue to provide the quality and committed services that participants need!

You are welcome to come along for the ride!
